Total timing

Total timing is the problem.

Use the flywheel as a timing indicator. Find TDC ACCURATELY, then lay out 30 degrees on the flywheel.

3.14Xdiameter=circumference.

Circumference/12=Distance along outer edge of flywheel at 30degrees. Mark 30 degrees, run up engine until no more advance shows.

You're wasting time doing this without a timing light. doesn't have to be fancy advance unit.
