Don't read about it in internationally circulated magazines after the fact, join us for the fun and experience it yourself ! The 2008 Chris Craft Commander Rendezvous on Lake Erie was the worlds largest gathering (ever) of fiberglass Commanders, and it was a fabulous time to see some great boats and meet some wonderful people! Reservations are necessary again for 2009 due to limited dock space and the evening dinner program. We allready have the Yacht Club booked, reservations for 50 boats in the protected dockage area near the amphitheatre, and a contingency plan to handle more, so get your preferred dock space by registering early ! Hotel reservations will also be booked early in this area, due to the resort nature and popularity of the entire region this time of the year.

You are cordially invited to the 2009 Lake Erie Chris Craft Commander Rendezvous, being held once again at the beautiful Huron Boat Basin, with dinner program at the prestigious Huron Yacht Club, at Huron, Ohio. This event will feature fine dining at the yacht club, an entertaining and informative evening program, and lots of time on the docks to admire thousands of feet of classic fiberglass Commanders of all sizes, talk with boat owners and enthusiasts, get valuable technical tips, see old acquaintances and make new friends!

Some guests will arrive by boat, others by car, and some may even walk from their docks at the awesome Huron Boat Basin, home to thousands of boats and many classic Chris Craft yachts. Huron, Ohio, is located an easy 1-hour drive west of Cleveland, and right near Sandusky, home of Lyman Boats. There are many hotel choices in the neighborhood, numerous golf courses and parks, more marinas for boat hunting than just about anywhere else, and many fine beaches to just kick back for an hour or two and relax. The area is rich in boats, boating history, and culture. It is the ideal location on the planet Earth, for a rendezvous of this kind. Last years event is still being talked about, and this event will also be talked about for a long time, don't miss it, be a part of it and experience the fun first hand.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE HURON YACHT CLUB: From its austere beginning on the banks of the Huron River in 1955, the Huron Yacht Club has emerged as one of the premier clubs in the western basin of Lake Erie. Offering a full service restaurant and bar, HYC has been the place to be for members and transient boaters alike with club activities designed for both the boater and non-boater. The quaint town of Huron, with its proud history as a fishing village, offers a most relaxing atmosphere. If you’re inclined to pick up the pace Thunderbird Hills golf course and the famed amusement park, Cedar Point, are just a short ride away. Come see for yourself why this is “The Friendliest Club on the Lake.” There is no view comparable to the sights from the top-deck dining room. Seating for up to 150 guests provides unique views of the Huron River, Municipal Boat Basin, HYC Marina, the Huron Lighthouse and beautiful Lake Erie.
