| The most important issue is the MELTED center electrode!!!!
The only thing that can melt the center electrode like that is SERIOUS pre-ignition/detonation. I think you'll find the oil is from the cylinder not firing. You have either 1) Too high compression in that cylinder 2) a massive air leak to that cylinder, causing a LEAN mixture 3) too far advanced timing.
Since only one cylinder is affected, the most likely culprits are 1&2.
The center electrode melts first, because it gets the hottest. You have a potentially serious problem that should be addressed before continuing to run the engine. Detonation breaks pistons and beats the bottom end to death. You're in dangerous territory!! |
