Response to Got that speed prop on the 20' Skiff last night |
| Looks good, but noticed 2 things. 1) There doesn't appear to be a wedge plate under the carb. Sitting in the boat at a 15 degree angle, plus adding the running angle of the boat, the actual float level may be adversely affected. 2) Try a run with the flame arrestors off. They can be surprisingly restrictive, especially at wide open throttle (The throttle plates ARE opening fully aren't they?)
The 20% slip may be a little high..I'm close to 10-11% on my Blackfin with direct drive 14x10 w/cup.
BTW, those high air temperatures do not contribute to good power. |
