Response to This doesn't sound good
Bottom end noises get worse as the engine warms up. If the intensity doesn't change with temperature, I'd look further. rod bearings have little effect on oil pressure as they oil as the holes line up in the main bearings. Perhaps an oil analysis will confirm/eliminate bearing failure without dropping the pan. Remove the oil filter and cut it open to see if there's metal in it.
