Maiden voyage

Be sure to take your Grandpa on the maiden voyage, but not the initial check out run. That can be hectic and nerve-wracking. I wouldn't go out at night until you are sure you are not taking on water or not pumping water around the engine compartment. Make that initial run with an open engine hatch if you can, to check for water, fuel, oil, and exhaust leaks.

I have been following this thread and all of the good will expressed. It is really nice to see.
