Q Timing

Well Paul I had never seen any conflicting data before now you go and do this!
Any way I am like you I use the dimple and as far as putting timing tape on the damper all I have to say is what damper? There is no damper or harmonic balancer or anything like that on the Q.
I guess you could stick some on the flywheel but then it is going to cover up the dimple and getting it on in the right place is going to be tricky as you will have to take the motor apart to do it. He is right about the total advance that should be about 34 degrees. Just remember to use the correct dimple on the flywheel!
