Interestingly, this model is listed at 39-mph. It's safe to say, with tweaked small blocks and an open boat (see photos below of the open "ask for" model), this rig has some real speed potential!
A great little speedster, rated at 39-mph with twin 200-hp motors. What we don't see here, is the very unusual 27' Open !
that's exactly the hull i get, exept for the flybridge who was integrated by the previous owner.
What a nice shape, i love it, everytime i see her. Never seen better in style.
bonne soirée

I just noticed this morning that I posted a 37 mph speed rating for the 27' Commander on the "Photo of the Day". Upon looking a little closer, I see the brochures we share here are from various years, offering V8 power from 185 to 230-hp. One of the brochures, attached here, shows a 39-mph speed.
You could get a pair of 200s or a single 230. The sweet ticket would have been a pair of 230s and speed props, ha! That boat would be able to pull 30 water skiiers.
Looks like a lot of fun to me, along with classic Commander lines in a smaller fast hull.

Here is one I spotted the other day while couch surfing. It is listed for $19,900 all thought a sale is pending. Power is twin 185hp 283's. I though these photos illustrated the model pretty well and also show that this one seems to be in great shape. I've admired this boat at "The Bay" but, I've always wonder why the heck CC left the side windows from the hardtop on this model/design. Side curtains would be my choice. I think it would look alot better and offer a great deal more ventalation.

And the portside profile
Transom ( not as deep V as it could have been. But that makes it FASTER!!!)
The Helm
From the helm looking aft, pretty spacious aft deck with padded motor boxes for sleeping one off.
V berth are maybe even a better place to sleep one off!
I don't much care for the radar dome installation, but hey, I guess I'd love it if I were out there at night in a commercial shipping channel, or even coming down the Cumberland after a stopover at the favorite waterfront restaurant.
John Kloka....................take note..........!! This has "YOU" written all over it!
