Performance between the 35' and 36' Commanders?

Response to KEVIN ALERT !

Anybody know the perf comparison between these two sisters?

My 36' will reach 25 knots with the port motor running at 2500RPM (as the mechanical advance is stuck right now) Starboard will reach 3500RPM but when I fix port I am certain I will reach 4k and top 30 knots easy. (I have a 12 pack riding on it.)

As I understand it the 35' is something like 3-4 TONS lighter!!... with the same BIG DOG powered drivetrain! Anybody know what the perf numbers are between the two?

BTW I am very happy with the extra weight... On the Puget Sound Friday night, 50-60 MPH winds and record high tides combined into the perfect storm generating monster 7-8 footers. The wind was ripping and there were literally holes in the sea that swallowed most of my 36' Commander for seconds at a time. I wish I had pictures to share but it was pitch dark. I could only see these monsters once they were within 50 feet or so because the wave tops were white and frothy... and above my eye level from the helm position! (lower helm of course happy.gif). I would turn my 23,000lb Commander into them and then water would explode up and over the boat. A wild ride indeed but my 36' was rock solid and I felt completely safe as we blasted right through the waves. It was like tossing sticks of dynamite in front of the bow then driving over them. My friends did their best to secure my tools and new teak paneling and we all had an experience we won't soon forget.

As an added bonus we got 9 holes in the next day during snow flurries and during the way back to boot.
