Response to Eagle's Nest |
| The really interesting thing about (antique and) classic boats, is the human element behind them. Buy a new piece of thin tupperware and it has no soul. Buy a classic and you get the entire history, good and bad, that came with the boat. Just think how many people were on board EAGLES NEST over the years. Just think how many smiles, how many coversations, how much fun that boat has given so many. Each boat has it's own history of being purchased, splashed for the first time, and then an annual handling and running that just makes it all that more rich to own one. The wood boats have the added provenance of having each individual piece of wood formed and fastened by someone's two hands.
Hope you and yours are all doing well, and it's good to get the report that EAGLES NEST is doing well too. Hope the remaider of the boating season is good for you guys.
Regards,
Paul |
