23' Lancer Inboard

Response to Re: 23' Lancer inboard, Vermillion, Ohio ( project boat ) Route 2

We saw the boat just outside Vermillion. It was in the "for sale" position, located out on the street, looking every bit as though it was for sale but not having a for sale sign on it.

Kevin Fitzpatick drove by and saw us crawling around on it, stopped and we chatted about it. Later during a follow up phone call with Kevin this week, I understand the boat was actually wearing a "CORSAIR" badge of sorts that I missed. Since the boat was sold under the "Lancer" name and built by the "Corsair Sport Boat Division", that would account for the Corsair name.

I didn't see a phone number or anything, but the photos do reveal the hull registration number, and the sign over top of the boat has a phone number too. That would be helpful in tracking the owner, and I can assure you the boat propably won't be in the water this season, so it is most likely for sale. I would not underestimate the work to be done, but having just gone through one of similar size from nose to tail, I can also say it would be possible to bring this one back into very nice condition, but with lots of work and a fair amount of cash too.

That's all I have on the boat, hope it helps,

Regards,

Paul
