Looking at the photos, of course, won't allow me to really comment with a good opinion, but just because that wood looks gray, does not necessarily mean it's all bad. I am wondering if this boat begs for a new layer of fooring and put back in the water? You could run it as is for a season and always do the complete tear down later. I guess I'm wondering if it is actually ready for more than a floor replacement.
If you want one that is in "as new" condition, then yes, but I sure have seen boats in much worse looking condition run for many years with pretty reliable results. It is tough to judge engines from photos, but the paint looks good, lol.
I love the boat by the way, I doubt if you will ever find one this classy with twin engines that can match the Chris Craft style.
