The larger injectors pushed the 6-92's from 425 hp to 485, or so my mechanic tells me. Without changing tranny's, that is all the HP the Allison M's can handle. I also changed props to a set of 29 x 32. Together, the Bella now cruises at 22 KTS while spinning 2000 rpm and burns 35 gph. Prior to the change, she ran 20 KTS at 2000 rpm while burning 32 gph. WOT now is 27 KTS, before 22+ KTS. I am sure she would pick up another 2-4 knots if I could get Donna to offload a couple of thousand pounds of miscellaneous items. After all, what is really needed on a boat? Beer, Scotch, Rum, Peanuts and a can of Vienna Sausage, right? Oh yeah, in Michigan you gotta have Vernors on board too.
I also just bought a set of splash rails from Smart Rail and plan to install them along the chine at the bow running back about 9 feet. This will greatly diminish the blow back of water when crashing thru big seas. Don't know about you, but I have taken a few over the bow that nearly ripped my helm enclosure from its tract. BTW, ole Bella never even shuddered, in fact I thought I heard her laugh.
