progress interuption

Response to progress continues...
Progress can wait. Only 5 coats on the cockpit rail. Many more are needed, but a Memorial day cruise (240 miles round trip) was a welcome respite. 427's performed beautifully. Cruising speed was between 18 and 20 mph (3000-3200rpm) at a consumption of around 1.3 gpm.

This is better performance than my previous '67 31' hardtop express achieved with 327F's at a slower rate.

I believe I have a wake photo somewhere. I'll post it if it turns up.
