Response to Okay sports fans.......here are the PHOTOS !!!

Looks like there is some physical damage in that cap..rotor has struck the terminals. If the cap wasn't seated perfectly this can occur. Caps are a MAJOR problem on late model chevies that use the flat top cap like yours. In their case, the conductors are molded into the cap from one side to the other.
