Response to Instrument cluster

Hello,

According to the papers, the boat is a Commander 23 from 68'. So it is in par with your comments on the topside. But all of that is not that clear : the French administration was not very reliable during the 60's. As an example, the boat has been sized up to 6.54 m (whereas 23 feet represents 7.04 meters) when it was imported from Italy in 1968. I know several examples of other CC that have been sized up like that during the same period. Moreover, some Lancers from Italy are listed as Commanders on the papers. So, like I said before, the boat could have been a Montecarlo (V drive + no fish well) or a true Commander 23. But it has been so many times transformed before found it that it is nearly impossible to know.

Regarding, the bench seat, we will indeed install a 43.3 inches long teak platform raised on jacks, above the engine. Thus, 2 people will be able to lie down under the sun.

At the end, the boat will certainly more looks like a Lancer (with the bench) than an original Commander (the one with with the Star-Trek seats).

It is not a big deal for me because what I find fabulous with these boats, regardeless the badge, are the timeless lines and the sea behaviour.

I hope the result will meet my expectations.
