430 mel and ford truck parts interchange??

430 mel and ford truck parts interchange??

430 mel and ford truck parts interchange ???
does anyone know whether the ford truck 401 477 534 motors were based on a mel block and cyl heads or are they FE style i can recall reading in a 1958 car mag that the 534 truck crank would fit the 430 block ANY info appreciated thanx john

I'm guessing the crank won't fit. Bore spacing on a 430 is 4.9" and it looks like it's 5.25" on the super duty.
