tranny swap

Hi i am new to this site. I put 1958 430 in a 50 ford convt . My question is the tranny is bad so I think if I understood was that I can put a early FE C6 tranny in there mooseb

any C-6 from a FE (352,360,390) will do. Car or pickup. A C-6 from a 3/4 ton pickup is easy to located and will probably have the heavier clutches. I am speculating here, but MAYBE an FMX from a 70's Ford will bolt to the cruiseomatic bellhousing??? Anyone know?? Hope this helps, Henry.
