430/462 heads

Hello out there. I need to know what kind of changes were made to 430 /462 heads over the years. Are certain heads only compatable with certain blocks. have to go now i,ll have more details tonight. thanks greglewis.I,m back i,ve seen heads that are completly flat around the valves and heads that are recessed around the valves. the heads I,ve got have a number cast into them =c4ve-6090-a the block numbers are c6ve6015-a will these work together. Can someone help me? thanks greg lewis
