Super Marauder 3x2 Intake Manifold

Post by 64Lincoln » Tue 15. Dec 2009, 08:34

Hi new member. I caught the white elephant yesterday – Super Marauder 3x2 Intake Manifold. Boy, did I pay for it! It's going on my 64 convertible. You can see at http://www.hubgarage.com/ under visual Impressions garage .com. You can see the intake at under item number 270497906740 on ebay.

Now it's being sent out to be rebuilt. Valve covers are on order and air breather to be polished and repainted. – Next with the use of an adapter going to mount a 700R behind the engine and add some headers.

Welcome and congrats. About 20 years ago I nearly happened to buy a tripower set up for my FE powered T-Bird. The complete rebuilt and ready to run set up was about 1200 $. Back then I thought that the prize was pretty stiff.
What can I say with todays' prizes?
Anyway let us know the news once in a while.
Best regards

cool... I am working on a super marauder intake too.. Are you buying valve covers from Slovers Porting?
MEL Marine division... and if you thought MEL car parts were scarce....

Actually I have enlisted the services of Hot Rod Chassis and Cycle in Addison Illinois to due the restoration on the intake. I don't know where he order the valve covers from. Once the rebuild start I will provide further details. My only concern now is if the intake will fit comfortably under the hood or if further fabrication will be required.
