As long as the lift isn't too high, the FE roller rockers work just fine in the MEL. My Comp Cam lifters from an FE work great in my MEL. Total lift is 590.

The FE rockers are in-fact the same as the MEL. However, only the rockers will interchange. Not the rocker shafts nor the shaft stands. The MEL shafts are a tad longer than the FE and the stands are shorter than the FE. My suggestion for performance applications is to find a set of FE "steel" stands...
