Good looking cruiser you got there

November 24 2008, 4:40 AM

Hey those are some good photos, you got yourself a really nice looking cruiser. It's going to put a lot of smiles on faces come spingtime, and I suspect it will become well known at all the hot spots around the lake. Too bad it's cold, because when you come by Harpeth Island just upstream from the confluence of the Harpeth River, you would see beach vollyball under way (in the shallows) on the san bar in the summer. Look closely, you'll see the vollyball net still there (I saw it a week ago, happy.gif )

I see you have the integral tabs on the transom, nice. Looking forward to seeing this boat under way. I might even drive down to Clarksville, depending on what the boss says, but am hoping to see here on the water underway from the helm of TRADITION. Not sure about the weather, keep an eye out!

Regards,

Paul

This gives the term "sharp entry" all new meaning

November 24 2008, 6:53 AM

Look at that bow shot! No wonder the 36 rides so well! Great photos, thanks for sharing them, not too much boating action this time of year. Good luck on your trip, hope the weather works well for you.

Hull shape

November 24 2008, 3:55 PM

Looking at the photos, the hull shape is quite a bit different than the 38 I'm accustomed to looking at. Much sharper and steeper entry for sure. Nice looking boat Reece.

Can't wait to get my 36 SF down to NO

November 24 2008, 5:42 PM

Great pictures. My new boat went by the name "Volere", she is in Gunthersville Alabama and should be in New Orleans in a few weeks. She is a 1973 36' Sport Fisherman with her original 427's. I wish I had your outriggers!! I'll have to have mine added later. The Gulf of Mexico should give me a great opportunity to test her hull. I always loved the 38CC but I'm glad I took the trip and gave her a look. She does seem very open down below because of the full headroom all the way forward. I'll take pictures and send them along. I look forward to talking with you all. thanks Corey

There is a rumor that the outriggers are somewhere in storage, Hopefully Butch will dig these up for me.

Outriggers

November 24 2008, 9:07 PM

That would be a great find. I looked at your boat and was heading up to Nashville but you got there first. I think the outriggers are a nice unique original feature to have. The holders I'm looking at are not near as nice, don't change the ones you have. I'm glad both of these CC36's will stay original and stay in the CC family. Good luck with the move and I'm sure we will talk soon. Corey
