I have a 1985 26'8" Commander 268 Flybridge Sedan. I'm looking for any source for a schematic diagram of the electrical system. Any ideas where I might be able to get one?

1985 26'8" Commander 268 Flybridge Sedan

Hi Dave,

That's a newer model and I figure some of the guys with that same model will be your best bet. I put your model identification on the headline of this post to attract their attention!

Hope it works! It's sort of like fishing with a baited hook sometimes, when it comes to getting info like this, but I'm sure it's out there for the sharing, we just have to be patient.

Regards, all the best,

Paul

Start with the manufacturing serial number

Also any badge you may have on the boat will help too, along with a photo of the boat!

It should be on the transom (outside), top right, on a newer model like this one. I have an '86 and that is where mine is. I have not found any kind of electrical schematic on mine either, so I wish you luck. Just a reminder, on the 12 Volt/DC side, white wires are ground, and black are hot. Very confusing since normally black is the standard ground color, and now the new ABYC ground color is yellow. I suppose it is just what a person is used to. I grew up working on cars and black was always ground so when I am working on the boat I have to stop and think about it. And then you have the 115Volt/AC circuits where black is always hot, white is nuetral and green is bond. BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU STICK A TEST LIGHT PROBE!

You probably know more about it than I do,HA
