23 Lancer for sale!

Well, gang, the time has come, sooner than I expected, for me to sell my 23' Lancer. It turns out that my efforts to downsize have been met with a bit of dissatisfaction from my crew. My daughters, whom where not interested in sleeping overnight on the boat last year, are now begging for a boat we can "camp out" on. Being the ever-indulgent parent, I'll do what I can to make their wishes come true, (especially since there is a new boat in it for me!) I am actively in the market for a 31 Express (prefer no bridge), but would possibly consider one of those 33 Coho/Corinthians if the right one came along. I'm looking for a VERY nice condition boat in either case, as I don't have time for major projects. I will entertain an offer to trade for one of these boats, as well, if anyone is interested...

This boat is a 1978 model with a 350 and a Volvo 280 outdrive. She is in VERY original good condition, no bottom paint, with a trailer. I've upgraded her with a few items since purchasing this spring, such as a new pump-out head. Also, the canvas was brand new last year, and includes full mooring cover, cockpit cover, and convertible top, side curtains and backdrop. The canvas shop that made this should be given an award as it fits perfect, easily $4K for this setup.
Here are a few pictures. A few of the local Commander owners and Forum readers and contributors in my neck of the woods have been aboard and can vouch for her condition. She is in the water on Lake St. Clair and ready to run!! I had her Surveyed this spring at time of purchase and can make this available to any potential buyers. I'm asking $12,000.00
If interested, e-mail me at jckloka@comcast.net and we'll take it from there.

It's a nice one

I have to say, that sounds like a fair price in view of the fact that I sold that wretched Pachanga 22 a couple years ago for $13,500. This boat has (in my opinion) MUCH BETTER build quality and better lines too.

Regards, good luck,

Paul
