Heres a couple of pics of a wet bar I designed and built which is also incorporated into the helm seats. It built out of marine grade , 3/4" plywood w/ a 22mil teakwood veneer and solid teak trim and laminated bar top. Note the custom "wave" cut teak trim, that was a PITA! (Pain In The A$$)

Steve:
That is really clever and beautifully made. It was perfect for those seats. I like the waves. Well done!

Stunning!

I've been aboard Steve's "Bear Z Girl", and I'll tell ya... pictures don't do it justice. The cockpit bar is way cool, and well executed, and well suited to this boat. I know Steve... he NEEDS a bar on board

I've always meant to ask... where does "Bear Z Girl" get her name?

Bear Z Girl

John, Jerry, thanks for the compliments! The name came from our first dog of 16 years which was named Bear which them morphed into BearZ which then morphed into Bear Z Girl. When we purchased the boat in 1998 she (the dog) was in her later years so we decided to name the boat in her honor. She also loved the water and our little boat at home.

Heres a pic of the Owner and the Legend!

Man that is one of the coolest 42 footer I have ever seen!! Great job!! You have got to get that boat to Huron this Aug. I for one would like to have a cocktail at that bar. You can even bring the Hatt guy with you.

Nice work !

Excellent work on that wet bar, makes me want to order up my favorite adult beverage and kick back and enjoy the beauty of Lake St. Clair and the fact that I'm aboard a 42' Commander. What a combo!

Beautiful dogs too, and knowing the history of the name of the boat is pretty darn cool too. We've had Dalmatians in our family since I was 10, and naturally there are some pretty harrowing stories as well as some due reverence too. Dogs are great!

Regards,

Paul
