Bulkhead covering

Can anyone tell me if there is a similar(or original) wall covering for my 1965 38ft. Commander? The last owner removed the wall covering on the bulkheads in the head and I would like to replace it with something close to the original. It seems to me that in an old article that they stated that it was made by B.F. Goodrich.

I have an early model Commander, but mine is also recovered. Thankfully the recover job is well done and looks like it was standard. As far as finding a match for original, I would have to peel mine off and see what is underneath. Surely someone out there has an original interior in their head? I wish I could give you some info.

I will look at mine this weekend.

I have FXA 38 0048 and will be at the boat Saturday and Sunday. I will take a few pictures of the head bulkhead covering. If it is peeling off, and I decide to redo it, I will save a square of it and mail it to you so you can match it. Stay tuned on Saturday evening.

Bob, give me a call...

Bob:
I did not make to the boat on Saturday, but did today. The bulkhead covering in my head has been painted white so I did not take a picture.

However, under the shelving in the cabinet (the shelf just lifts out) there was plenty of the original covering that was peeling off that had not been painted. I took a generous piece of this and will mail it to you. Call me on my cell at: 571 213 0069 or email me at jerry.namken@comcast.net. You can give me the address you want it mailed to. The covering looked like a kind of modified basket weaving with a touch of yellow in it. At least it is a start for you.
