As I took that particular photograph I can attest to the fact that yes it is plain copper pipe. And I have some of the same on my 350Q engines the reason Tim has his looking so good is that I swear he has it coated with some type of clear epoxy / paint / high temp something that isn't letting the shine go away. Maybe if you beg he might tell you but he hasn't told me what it is. Heck for all I know its plain old clear lacquer not sure how hot those pipes actually get. Plain old lacquer might be good enough to keep the tarnish away.
