JBLs

Response to I am going 12 volt car system

Jim, I am glad to see you like the JBLs. I have JBL audio at home and I selected these over Bose and many other high end brands. I have had several Bose systems but I like the 'value' in the jbl series. Plus the JBL speakers I have use a powered SUB and the Lows are insane. Nice LOWs and not loud. Excellent for watching movies.

I was also doing some research last night and I noticed that http://www.uniqueautosport.com/home.html uses JBL a lot.

In my salon the speakers are in the back with no speakers up front. The sound could be a bit better and there needs to be some front projection, to balance it out. Of course a subwoofer will help balance out the sound.

In my regal I have 4 Kenwood 6.5" marine speakers and a clarion APX480M Marine 4 Channel Amplifier 4/3/2 amp tied to a 10" unpowered Bazooka tube. Its not insanely loud and the bass is great. The regal is a 22' bowrider so additional power is needed when cruising around 50+mph.... happy.gif

The speakers came with the boat and could be a bit better with the added power. They tend to distort after being played hard for several minutes and you can smell them getting a bit warm. (Speaker smell)

I would definate use another clarion marine amp, and the bazooka tube, I think in the commander I may try to build it all into the salon and make it look professional. Of course this is one of MANY projects.

First thing I want to do is put in a plastic holding tank. Right now there is a bladder tank for holding that works fine, I just dont want to spend a weekend cleaning up any residue from a busted bladder. I also think there is a smell eminating from the bladder. I think it sat for a year with 'stuff' in it.

What and where is your holding Tank on GIGGITY?

Reece
