FANDANGO -----> Update <----- ( Direct from the Cumberland mile marker 100, at 2000 rpm )

Response to Float Plan

Just talked to our new Commander owner, Reece, who reported all was well on the Cumberland at this very moment. They experienced nice sun, moderate weather, glass smooth water, and a little vibration, which caused them to back down to a comfortable 2000 rpm. They're a ways from Clarksville, where they're going to spend the evening. Tomorrow, weather permitting, I plan to fire up TRADITION and depart Commodore Yacht Club and head West toward Cheatham Locks. Not sure if I'll get all the way there by the time they come through, but it looks like there will be a genuine Commander RENDEZVOUS of the first order, "somewhere" on the Cumberland. I'm anxious to get that "first look" impression that stays with you, seeing FANDANGO again this time on my home water, after admiring the boat so much on Lake Michigan where I saw her a few years ago.

I just talked to a buddy of mine who will confirm tomorrow, if he's going along with me. In any case, I'll be having more fun than I am right now, because I'm sitting here on the couch and Reece is out there running at 2000 rpm, ha!

If you want to see where FANDANGO is now, check out the following Cumberland River Charts, and look at Map 15, it starts around mile marker 100.5 and that's where Reece is now. As you can see, he still has a way to go to reach Clarksville, and he will probably arrive after dark the way things look right now, or right at dusk. It's overcast here today, but still pretty nice for cruising, if not a little on the cold side. The live link directly below is direct to the interactive charts that you see in small photo form below.

Stay tuned, I hope we'll have a report later tomorrow, quite possibly live from the Cumberland.

Paul
