Paul, you wrote the following: Any time you go from a 3 to a 4, you'll need to give up one or two inches of pitch, in order to keep your rpm in the same max range specified by the engine manufacturer. I'm assuming the reverse is also true. If I have 4 blade 22x22 and want to go to a three blade I should look at 22x23 or 24. Is this correct? I purchased a pro-pull puller and with my small oxy acetelene tank provided maybe 15 seconds of heat and the wheels popped off. Very nice sound. They look very good but I think I should have them scanned while off to make sure. I did use a dial indicator on the shafts forward of the aft strut and was within .003", I know this may be misleading but since the boat is out of the water I wanted to check. The cutlass bearing show even wear and are not loose. I'll examine the shafts turning next season.
