CHRIS CRAFT COMMANDER FORUM ® .......A photo-intensive technical reference file and ongoing newsletter regarding the original fiberglass Chris Craft Commander. Our mission at this not-for-profit non-commercial web site is to "have fun and share information" for your individual personal use. Our main reference feature is the ever expanding MASTER INDEX Files which contain exhaustive photo and technical information on the Chris Craft Commander line (like these 38' Commander brochure scans) , (an awesome collection of Chris Craft 427 tuning and specification information), and a few words about how to use the information in the forum, etc. Be sure to look at the information about the 2009 Chris Craft Commander Rendezvous, second year in a row on Lake Erie!! If you're a Commander fan, this will be an event you won't want to miss.

We extend to you a cordial "WELCOME ABOARD !"

Response to Irish Lady FNG to the Forum

Yes indeed, John, the spirit of friendship and cooperation between Commander owners is a wonderful thing. Our mission here is clearly stated on the front page of the forum, "to have fun and share information", and we open our doors and hatches to you to join in with the fun.

You asked where we're located, Janet and I run our 38 Express on the Cumberland River near Nashville, Tennessee. We sure admire people like you and the guys up on the Great Lakes, and on the Pacific, and of course in the Gulf, who have those things called "waves" or sometimes you call em "swells"? If you search the files for a while you'll see hundreds of photos of our Commander on the Cumberland having fun. The most fun we've had with the boat, however, is the association with others at the big Commander Rendezvous, held last year at Huron, Ohio, on Lake Erie, and I have to tell you this event is worth flying half way across the country to attend (which we did on both accounts). You should schedule for 2009!

Here's a bit about Janet, me, and our TRADITION. Dick Avery didn't design the first 38, Messers Hudson and MacKerer did (Hudson designer under supervision of MacKerer)
