Response to Firefox Update |
| I use both Firefox and IE and being in the tech world it is a pain in the butt to write code for both. Firefox renders html in a totaly different manner than IE does. Inernet Explorer is much easier to write code for than Firefox is, it also interfaces with databases better then firefox. And as far as one getting more virus's than the other it is simple if Firefox becomes the number one browser in the world then more people will write virus's to attack it than they will for IE. The virus thing is simple if you get all the bulletins I do concerning web browsers Firefox is catching IE in security updates very quickly. I do like Firefox for some of the plugins you can add to it to analyze code on web pages it has a great tool called firebug. It is not anywhere near virus proof and folks before you tell me to read some article on the web or elsewhere I do this for a living I write code in a mixture of coldfusion, html and javascript. I get security updates from a very reliable source as the company I work for is one of the largest in the world and we are very concious of the various attacks out there. As far as virus software I have used AVG and grew very tired of it and the false poisitives it throws out. I use McAfee and I have tried them all and McAfee has only given me one virus in the 14 years I have been surfing the web. Oh the company uses McAfee too. |
