Response to Dude, I just saw the videos, that motor sounds GOOD ! |
| With our little inboard 20' fiberglass "almost Commander" Sea Skiff, we have a section of rubber pipe, and a section of copper pipe extending right out the back of the boat. The Commander uses a forward running exhaust direction, which curves around and eventually heads out the back of the boat. With the beautiful sounds of a water muffled small block Chevy in an inboard boat like this, and like Wes has, one can only imagine what a 427 powered 23' Commander barking through a larger diameter copper pipe would sound like!
These boats sound like a Chris Craft should. At speed the sound is actually behind you. At the docks if you back into a space that will reflect the sound back to the boat, you can get an idea of what people on the docks are actually hearing. It sure is sweet!
