Response to Water in the oil
Don't discount a plugged crankcase ventilation system. If the PCV system is inoperative, it will allow water vapor to accumulate in the crankcase. This accumulation is worsened if the engine operating temperature is low. I'll assume the "267" is really a 260, which ultimately grew up to be 289/302/351w.
