| Personally I would replace the block and keep it or then sell if you still want to. I think people will deduct more for the bad engine than you will put into it. Why do I say your not alone?
I bought my boat 4 years ago with a bad port 327 and just had it rebuilt because the other one was working fine. WAS is the key word. One year later the starboard came apart so I replaced it with a 350 long block figuring that this was the way to go for the future and the rebuilt reman port would go first. Wrong. The starboard 350 now has blow by and starting to use oil while the mutt of a 327 continues to run. So that will have to come out in the fall. So 3 engines in 4 years plus a rebuilt Paragon. Add to it the "new" 350 has maybe 150 easy hours and the remanufacturer is out of business. Sell? Never!
