Jerry everything I have read says a LectraSan is a type I MSD which is a discharge system it is made to discharge overboard NOT to a holding tank. If the Bay is a No Discharge Zone you got problems from what I understand. You may want to go here and read up on it www.raritaneng.com The system is designed to electrically treat waste then discharge it overboard. Made for saltwater use only or an optional salt tank can be added to induce salt to the system (the salt is needed for electrolysis). We don't see them here in the Great Lakes much because all of the Lakes are NDZ. Might want to rethink that system or you may want to eliminate the lectrasan and if your toilet is a mascerating one it can usually be plumbed straight to a holding tank. I have a sealand vacuflush system with a 24 gal holding tank. I like the system and it is a good one but they all require maintenance no matter what you use. |
