i seem to have misunderstood your question. i thought you were refering to battery cables. if you are wiring battery cables, then 1/0 or bigger is your answer, depending on amp draw and length. if you are talking about supplying power to a power strip, then yes, a 4ga wire will probably suffice. this again depends an amp draw and length.
