Greg,
A buddy of mine who had a Constellation with 427 power, now running a large aluminum Roamer, was way up into the headwaters of Old Hickory Lake, and perhaps even upstream into Cordell Lake, curling a huge wake. They passed a farm where there were a bunch of piglets down near the waters edge, and he said all he could see when the wake came by was feet and tails, ha ha.
Here on the Cumberland it really doesn't make much difference to the shoreline if we run fast or not. The commercial barge traffic has allready established where the shoreline is, and a few passes with a Commander won't make any difference. Over time, the river is slowly getting wider, but the depth remains pretty much the same 30-feet from one bank to another.
