Lk St Clair tends to draw the same sort of nuts out on the water during the holidays. These are the ones that stick their boat in 3 or 4 times a year, put on their fat gold chain necklaces and get liquored up and are clueless as to rules of the road.
I usually avoid night cruising for this very reason, we've had some real bad accidents on St Clair and most happen at night in fact last year a 44' Sea Ray ended up 30 - 40' up into shore on a small island at the exit end of a channel! That island could have been another boat!! Injuries, yes, alcohol, yes and stupidity definitely.
