Ford also produced a 427 cross bolted centeroiler in 1963 and 64 I beleive the sideoiler didn't come in production until 1965. I just sold a 1964 galaxie Q-code, bench seat, 4 speed car and it had a 427 centeroiler in it when I originally bought it but I ended up replacing it with a 1965 sideoiler (the better of the 2 motors) The 427 blocks also had a High nickle content in the casting which made it stronger and easier to weld if you ever needed too. If I can ever figure out how to post pics I got some great pics of my 427 galaxie car and motor I would love to show-off!
Cha Cha
ps. Ford also had a cross bolted 406 engine which was one bad mofo in it'day!
