Battery charger recommendation

I am tired of buying batteries and hauling them to and from my boat. I keep a charger handy due to the fact that we use a lot of 12v at the docks and we backcharge the batteries. This has not been working very well and I'm told the charger I'm using is the cause. Looking through the various marine catalogs, I see a lot of choices. Any recommendations will be appreciated.
