Thanks for puuting this all in one place! I love re-reading this stuf... it makes you wonder, though...
There is without a doubt, a very high percentage of first generation Commanders still in regular use today, many with original power. I can't think of another industry that could boast of simalar results.
I mean, how many 40 year old toasters are still in use today? Especially versus the sheer number produced at the time by any given manufacturer.
Cars, or even better, airplanes?? What else?? With the(yet unknown at first), longevity of the Commanders, they really represented a relative bargain when new, despite their high price....
If you only knew then...
