Response to 42 for sale here on Lake St. Clair
I talked to this guy a while ago and was going to buy his old 427's for back up to mine, he was asking a bit to much for them with the trany's. He also was a little disappointed with the performance of the 496's vs the 427's (fuel consumption , torque etc) from what I recall. I've heard and read things that are consistent with this. Other than things being a little harder to get for the 427's (popular belief,but not me) is it worth re powering to a big block chevy or diesel? I don't think so, just my 2 cents.
