Response to Random CC Commander photos and other stuff

Just a few pics that I thought were worth posting.

The first 2 are of a couple of true Sport-fisherman Commanders. There is very little documentation of the SF's. I know this because I have one (not in original configuration). I have found little other than the few factory advertisement photos and the cover of Motor Boating. We have had some informative posts here on THE Forum but, pics have been hard to find. These two photos illustrate a couple of the major differences in comparison to the other 38' models.

This shows the sink and cabinet to the rear of the salon. The doors were not included in the original Chris-Craft configuration. They did not include any doors at all. I assume this was for baiting and fish cleaning.

This aft view shows the 8" step from the aft deck up to the pilot house, deleted chrome air vents on the aft toe rail, and nautilex deck covering.

This pic shows another bizarre interpretation of yacht restoration. I though at first that maybe there was a donor boat but, another pic showed that the lower station had been canabalized for the helm station. This looks like a really nice job though. It looks very commanding!

And finally...a really nice Commander for sale. All though the paint is a little too white and the continuous SS rail doesn't seem to have the right flowing lines, she looks like a really jewel. I wish the add had better photos. The asking price you wonder, drum roll please...............................................

$150,000. WOO WEE BABY. Shoot man, I'd take half that for mine.

Best regards to all, Chris
