Thank you all for your help, this has been a very informative thread for me - thanks for taking the time. I'm very glad that I have a normal Q and not a QL because it's all I can do to keep the normal one straight (amazing what turning an engine around does - several times during the last day I have been convinced that I had installed the pistons backwards). I'm going to proceed with the cam that I have, this is one more issue I can check off my list. I'll post some photos when I make some significant progress (looking forward to applying that first coat of Chris Craft blue). Thanks again, Derek
