Response to 427 risers

Interestingly enough I talked with Paul at Marine Manifold yesterday. I bought one set of the 427 risers in 2005 for my starboard engine. This year I completed the deal and bought the set for the port engine. He shipped them yesterday. My old cast iron risers were 23 years old. Pretty good for salt water. I hope to take some pictures this weekend of the work I am doing in the engine compartment. As far as the Marine Manifold parts go, I like them. I removed the exhaust hose and inspected the 3 year old units. They look new inside and the water intoduction holes are like new as well. They are also quite a bit lighter. I also set up a fresh water flush/emergency pump system as mentioned in another post. I hope to run fresh water through the engines at times through the season. It's tough on a mooring though. Again, pictures to follow.
Paul P. thanks for the photo of the day.
Jerry, I have a bit of the blue fingers as well as I sit here at work in the office. Lots of my engine components got a new paint job this year. Yours are shaping up nice.
Have a great weekend.
Regards,
Geo.
