Response to sideways?
I do intend to resupport the bridge, but not with the cantilever. There will be 2 new verticals at the front of the salon, 2 at the rear, and a new aft salon wall to form a shear diaphragm addressing the "sway". Configurations that are open at the end of the salon do need some form of gusset to address the sway.
