Response to Good luck with that trip ! |
| Went yesterday to pick up the 454s all went well today I unloaded them then hooked up a battery and fuel and each one fired right up. Checked the serial numbers and they are 1982s. Overall they are in great shape for the year just need some clean up and paint detail. Pictures to follow. I know some people say the 454 wont fit in a 31 but I measured 57" from the shaft coupling to the bulkhead and the engines measure 52.5 from coupling to sea water pump the 350s that came out were 50.5 long so they may be tight but should fit. Icant wait to see how it runs. The big blocks should hardly be working at cruise speed.
