Response to Sad news from Martinique, Charles needs our help with his 427 rebuilds

I hve been reading through this thread this morning and it is heart rending to see all the work that has gone into this project, only to get kicked in the teeth. Charles did a beautiful job with those motors. He is obviously an enthusiast who wanted to take the time with his pride and joy. I agree with some of the comments, about boating. You put motors and hulls in the water, and trouble is your middle name. It does come withthe territory.

If those blocks are salted badly, they may not be reliable. Having said that, the iron used in those old engines is very high grade, and them may be fine. Any way you look at it, there is more work to be done.

Charles, be sure to test run the motors befor installing them if you do have to pull them out again.

I offer you my condolences, and wish you success,

Roy
