Beam is a fast 13', same as the 38 Commander. Weight is a surprising light 27,000 to 28,912 pounds.
Power was a pair of gas 427 motors, or a pair of GM diesel 5082.
These were big, luxurious, and highly stylish yachts, and a nicely kept Constellation is still the Queen of any harbor. You are right, there are fewer and fewer each year, because people don't seem to have the cash, desire, and sometimes the know-how to maintain these boats. Planking is expensive, but there is really no reason why one of these big Connies cant live another life beyond the first one, if the owner has the ingredients noted above (cash being a prime ingredient).
